Cherish

Remontant
Low Roses | Bushes | Shrubs | Climbers
Photo of Rose Cherish The two to three inch flowers open a salmon shade and fade toward pale pink. The idea that one might have a floribunda covered with roses like this is an attractiive one. Few rose cultivars can claim to be foliferous, remontant, salmon colored floribundas. This is the only one widely distributed in the US.

The plant is nicely branched and well foliaged. It tends to make a low, mounding bush. The leaves have a bit of a gray tinge. They are not perfectly suited to set off the flowers; darker colors would work better. The foliage is healthy and the plants are vigorous.

The rose won an AARS award in 1980. ARS members rate it 7.4.
