Photo of Rose Cressida This rose is probably Blaze Improved which has been marketed as Blaze for some decades. The rose does definitely get black spot halfway through the season, but it seems to shrug off the problem. It's a steady grower and three years of growth have gotten it most of the way up a 4.5 ft pillar.

It's not quite this bright, but it is a cheery color. And it's a pretty garden-friendly color. This is the first flush; subsequently it will produce the odd flower now and again.
